LCA and impact model for LAM’ON bio-based and compostable packaging
LAM’ON is a European innovation-driven manufacturing company developing packaging solutions that replace petroleum-based plastics. With a strong focus on R&D, the elimination of microplastics, and seamless industry adoption, LAM’ON helps businesses future-proof their product packaging.
To validate their sustainability performance and support market expansion, LAM’ON commissioned uIMPACT to conduct an independent Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and develop an impact assessment model for their packaging portfolio — PACK’ON Crystal, PACK’ON Haze, and PACK’ON Shrink — benchmarked against traditional PET and PP foils.
The study analyzed the environmental footprint of 1 kg of packaging foil across its full lifecycle (cradle-to-grave), considering raw material sourcing, production, distribution, and end-of-life scenarios, modeled under typical European conditions.
The results confirmed that LAM’ON’s bio-based, fully compostable materials deliver measurable environmental benefits and contribute to the circular economy — where packaging returns to the earth without leaving a trace. The results make LAM’ON better positioned to demonstrate credibility to customers and enter new markets.
In December 2025, as we neared the completion of our LCA assessment, we sat down with Gergana Stancheva, Lam-on’s Co-founder & COO, to talk about what’s ahead for the team and how the LCA findings will support their expansion into new markets in 2026.

Product level CO2 footprint measurement for a European Chemical Producer
A leading European chemical manufacturer partnered with us to validate and promote its sustainable production practices in response to growing client requirements for transparency and environmental performance. Operating in an energy-intensive industry, the company sought a reliable and standardized way to quantify its carbon footprint and demonstrate measurable progress toward sustainability goals. uIMPACT conducted a comprehensive CO₂ footprint calculation at the product level, covering the entire lifecycle—from raw material sourcing and energy use to distribution and end-of-life scenarios.
To ensure lasting impact, uIMPACT developed a customized internal calculation instrument and accompanying methodology, enabling the company to independently monitor, update, and report its product carbon footprints in the future.
This collaboration not only helped the manufacturer validate its sustainability claims but also equipped it with the tools to respond to client-driven ESG demands, communicate verified data with partners, and identify new opportunities for emission reduction and innovation.
